How to do a traditional moroccan bath at home - Step by step guide
Share
1. Create a damp sauna like environment in the bathroom/ shower/ bath. Tip: draw a bath and sit in it, without using any additional bath products like foam soap or oils! You can play some soft music in the background, in oder to enhance a relaxing atmosphere
2. Saboun beldi: you can use the traditional black Soap (Saboon Beldi) or you can use Saboon Beldi infused with nila or Aker fasi (coming soon!). Use the amount like shown in the diagram: (diagram of hand showing approximate amount). Leave on for at least 10 minutes while you enjoy the steam or the bath.
3. Rinse off Saboon Baldi
4. Use the Kessa glove to gently scrub your body in a circular or linear motion, depending on the body part. You will notice dead skin rolling off your body, while only applying low pressure to the skin. Be extra gentle on your face.
5. After the whole body has ben scrubbed off, gently rinse off the dead skin.
6. Apply the Nila scrub and gently scrub off any remaining dead skin.
7. Rinse the scrub off your body, dry yourself and apply the Argan & Sheabutter cream. A small amount will go a long way!
You will notice that your skin is smooth and silkylike.
